Nice companies

After my encounter with Orbitz, it's been refreshing to have companies care at least a bit more when something bad happens. Jetblue and Netflix both recently sent me small credits after some amazingly crappy service when I missed a flight and screwing up the order of my Battlestar Galactica DVD's multiple times, respectively. Yay, nice companies!

  1. i love netflix. i'm watching the next generation starting from season 1 and it's awesome. though - did you read about jetblue and how they experimented with pilot tiredness by having them fly longer than FAA regulations? interesting...they wanted to present the data to FAA to prove pilots could fly tired. heh.

  2. Except that Orbitz and Netflix both run popup ads. Which means they'd rather pay money to piss me off than make me happy for free. In that sense: not so nice.

  3. I just canceled my Netflix account after 3 years. The reason is not because of their service which is fine. I am sick of Netflix and Orbitz pop-up ads served by common ad services such as Zedo, so I am protesting. I also refuse to use Orbitz to book flights, even though I have in the past.
